Love them for giving extreme metal a more mainstream focus, or hate them for their dilutions of the genre, few can deny the importance of Cradle of Filth to the annals of Metal. With twelve studio albums to their name and with a career spanning over twenty years the band have achieved much during their run, yet despite their marmite status within the community, everyone knows their name and no-one can take that away from them.
In closing another rather successful year for the band, Cradle of Filth took to social media to offer their thoughts on what the band had achieved noting some of the countries that they reached and also the positive impact of their management change. The band also informed the fans about some of the things that they can expect from Filth in the coming year. But perhaps the most exciting thing to come from the post was the news that the band are currently working on a follow-up to 2017’s Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness of Decay and are expecting to enter ‘the sordid depth of the recording studio’ sometime in Autumn.
